Roofs

At Absolute Decorators we’ll take no shortcuts in the preparation of your roof and use appropriate coating systems leaving you with peace of mind on those wet winter nights!

Paint Stripping

Often we come across previously painted substrates where the existing coats are lifting due to the paint just being old or having not being painted correctly in the first place. In this case we would highly recommend stripping. Although it can be a fairly expensive process it’s often essential in guaranteeing the life of your paint job. We can make a full assessment and offer you the best advice in moving forward to achieve best value for money without compromising on the longevity of the final product.

How Do We Prepare Surfaces For Painting?

We follow a five step process to prepare the surfaces for painting.

Step 1: Protect all furniture and fittings.
Step 2: Ensure all specified surfaces are clean, dry, and free of dust, dirt and grease.
Step 3: Remove all old paint that is peeling, flaking or chalking so the new paint will adhere.
Step 4: Fill small holes and fine cracks then apply primes / undercoat to these targeted areas.
Step 5: Sand all specified surfaces.

You will receive a detailed painting quote so there are “no surprises” at the end of the project.

Within the quote, we will:

Confirm the surfaces you want painted;
Confirm your needs and describe how we will address them;
Describe the painting methodology your project will receive;
List the paint products and colours that will be used for your project;
State your investment;
Estimate how long the project will take; and,
List the activities that need to occur prior to commencing the project so you know who needs to do what.
